Ehhhh. Probably, but not your best option I'd say. Could get a little crowded at happy hour.
I look forward to going back here again to have the shepherd's pie, it is fantastic
Nice place. Perfect if you want to grab a beer and a simple (but delicious) meal.
This place is great. I had a Jameson Crested neat on the barkeep’s recommendation with a pint of Smithwick’s to chase it and that came to $16 without tip, $20 in total. The place was clean and quiet at 9:30PM on a Wednesday and it’s right at the edge of Times Square. This may be the last New York style Irish saloon left in midtown Manhattan. I will definitely be back soon.
The bar to go to for after-work. Nice crowd, very good service and a lot of space available. Keep it up!
Great food. Big selections on the menu with daily specials. Big portions. Very personable bartenders. Everyone that works there is from Ireland. Nice layed back atmosphere. Cool decorations on the walls. You can't go wrong
It's a small place with decent food.
Lovely Irish pub. Beer is great. Service is fantastic. Cool history on the walls.
Best irish bar in the heart of Manhattan. Food and drink are so good, special the beers. The staff are excellent, the bartender Steve is so friendly and professional. Highly recommended this place. Ah and don't forget Tuesday they have karaoke. Just a suggestion put outlets and handbags hanger on the bar.
My favorite place.to have lunch with my brother. He loves that chicken pot pie!
Great value for money, very tasty food. Portions are huge but so delicious. Would recommend!!!
Love the fish and chips. Very crispy and well done. Service is nice and the location is awesome. I will recommend to my friends.
Myself and two others went into Gabby O’Haras for a bit of food. I ordered the shrimp in a basket and my god it was lovely. The atmosphere was good. It felt like I was home in Ireland. The waitresses were very friendly. I will definitely be eating out of here again before I go home.
Great Irish pub. Grab a Guinness and stay awhile.
Great irish bar close to times square but not too close too be a tourist trap. The shepherds pie was delicious. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive and knew how to pour a smooth Guinness. Smithwick's ale is also available for some authentic Irish ale. The ambiance is cozy with dark wood typical of Irish bars.
The menu is good and simple .bi enjoyed my meal, so has my friends. Yes I would return. I don't expect every to find the menu as being well. Give the place a try.
We enjoyed our lunch very much. Shepherds Pie and a smoked irish ham wrap with cajun fries. Very good!
Great food, great service and great drinks. Will be coming back
Price is reasonable food is excellent Bartenders very polite
Hospitable staff and reasonably priced IPA. 👍
Good atmosphere. Great bartender
Cozy place. Disappointed in the Reuben Sandwich...pastrami sliced way too thick. Liked my Stella...and Service was good.
Friendly place to stop for a quiet beer during the day
Gabby O’Haras holds the reigns of a great Irish bar! The Sheppard’s pie is awesome. The drinks were great, Bartender was awesome and the rest of the staff was great! Bathrooms were clean. This place is great to start the night off on the town.
Ah, we are suckers for a "genuine" Irish pub, considering that these only exist commercially in Ireland as well. So what? It succeeds in creating a sense of genuine culture. The moody darkness, obligatory barkeep with a brogue, and fish and chips with mushy peas, along with a slow-pulled Guinness, makes for a delightful ambiance usually only seen in movies. Or similar bars of this genre. What makes Gabby's better for me was the more congenial atmosphere, compared with two others less than a mile away. So go ahead and even if the sincerity is faked, I felt great when I left. (And I only drank 6 oz. of cider.) We'll be back!
Good drink selection and eats. I had the fish n chips. Fish is 3 medium sized pieces with a small basket of fries. The fries were very boring and hardly touched. The fish was decent but most likely froZen and battered elsewhere. Washed it down with a couple of Magners Irish cider, can go wrong with a Magners.
Better than ok, it's just pub grub but it's done well and with great service
Good food, good beer, great service
Great drinks, great service and screened the Leicester vs Liverpool soccer game live. Just brilliant.
Just a great local Irish style pub.
Awesome experience. Friendly service. Neat atmosphere. Cold beer and the food was very good. Would def recommend.
This is a find. Food and drink prices are extremely reasonable for the area. For any area. Bottled beer runs about 6 bucks. Burgers, sandwiches about 13. The vibe is classic cozy Irish pub. Perfect refuge on a freezing New York day. It gets crowded late afternoon but service doesn't suffer or slow down.
Nice pub. Service was good. Food was delicious.
Great place to eat, drink and hang.A bunch of friends and I went to enjoy a night in the city after work. Overall it was great and I believe we all enjoyed ourselves.Pros:Prices of all items are fair (to me and for the area)Plenty of seating (there were 20 of us)Food was good (not amazing)Drinks were amazingDespite being a bar, the overall volume was niceCons:No parking (it's in midtown)Menu needs to be simplifiedFood portions are too muchThey need to stick to what bars do best, burgers, fries and wings
Nice cool pub. Just off Times Square yet quite and charming. Good prices considering it's in such a highly visited neighbourhood.
Great food, unpretentious atmosphere, reasonable prices, chill customer base.
Very friendly staff and a great food menu. Proper irish bar with all Irish staff.
Super pub. Every time we're in New York my husband loves calling into Gabby's for a few drinks. It was the first pub we ever went into on our first trip to New York and ever since no trip would be the same without a stop off at Gabby O'Haras.
Had a awesome experience in this place with my daughter. The food arrives fast and the customer service is just good. Prices are reasonable.
After two days of airport and flight food I had a proper meal here. Liked the ambience, food and drinks. Everyone was real friendly. Great service.
Cool after work location to go to!
Stopped in on a saturday evening and was welcomed by the Tommy Grasso band. They were amazing! Very clean irish pub in the heart of Midtown, great service, fair prices and a great experience! Cant wait to be back!
Nice place to pass the time with friend and loves ones
It's a very cozy bar. The beer selection is okay. But the hardware is very nice. The food menu is good. The bartender is superb.
Awesome place. Good food, good drinks. Great bartenders and waitresses
The best lunch we had in NY
Great spot for it's neighborhood. I also like their eastern sister bar, Muldoons
Authentic Irish Pub . Shepherd pie was Fantastic. Mark the bartender was right on spot . Service was exceptional ...Never had to wait for a drink and great conversation. Will definitely be coming back here!
A typical Irish Bar found steps away from one the busiest Tourist destinations in the world, where the drinks are strong and not overpriced. Gabby's is a favorite after work spot for my coworkers for a quick drink during happy hour.
Best and cheapest beer in Manhattan. The buffalo wings are also good
Friendly barkeeps, excellent beers. Nice quiet at 3am
